1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Essodify ("the Platform", "we", "us") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Essodify is a subscription platform that provides security-management software — video-surveillance management, access control, time-attendance and related integrations — where each customer ("you", the "Entity") enables only the features it needs. Feature availability, uptime and support are governed by the plan you subscribe to.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, for providing accurate registration information, and for all activity under your account. Each Entity manages its own users and their access rights.

4. Acceptable Use & Lawful Surveillance

Because the Platform administers surveillance and access-control systems, you agree that you will:

• use the Platform only where you have a lawful basis to monitor the relevant premises and people;
• display any notices/signage and obtain any consents required by applicable law before recording or collecting biometric data;
• not use surveillance or access features to unlawfully monitor, harass or infringe the privacy rights of any person;
• not share credentials, reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Platform without written permission;
• remain solely responsible, as data fiduciary, for the video, biometric and access-log data your own end-users generate (see §6).

5. Subscription, Billing & Cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly (or annually) for the features you enable. All payments are processed via Razorpay and subject to their terms. GST-compliant invoices are issued to Indian customers. The exact charge is shown and confirmed by you before payment, and features activate only after payment is verified. Refunds are available within 7 days of a charge on request to [billing email]. On cancellation, feature access ends at the close of the paid period; data handling on cancellation is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Data Roles under the DPDP Act, 2023

For account, billing and usage data about you, Essodify is the Data Fiduciary. For the video, biometric, credential and access-log data that your end-users generate through the security features you operate, you are the Data Fiduciary and Essodify acts as a Data Processor on your instructions. You are responsible for the lawful basis, notice, consent, retention and grievance handling for that layer. Before we process your personal data we provide notice of: the data collected, purpose, retention period, your rights (access, correction, erasure, withdrawal of consent), and our Grievance Officer — [Name], [email], [address]. Checking the consent box at signup records your consent (timestamp and document version) for audit purposes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Essodify's liability is limited to the fees you paid in the preceding 30 days. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. [Security software carries specific liability considerations — have counsel set the final cap and carve-outs.]

8. Governing Law
